SOL #23 2018

Inspired by Art Teachers do it for the Monet … Thank you, fellow Slicer!

I am a mother first, a wife, a teacher, a daughter, a sister, a cousin, a granddaughter and a friend.

I keep my family very close and protect them with all my heart.

I wish I could freeze certain moments in time-like the moment I held each of my children for the first time.

I love the feeling after a workout-my mind feels clear and my body is energized.

I dance on very rare occasions.  I have two left feet!

I sing to my children and when I am alone in my car.

I think there is nothing better than the soft fur behind a dog’s ears-I love to pet my pup here.

I really need to learn how to say, “no”.  I hear it from family, friends and colleagues.  I hate letting people down, but sometimes it’s at my expense.

I need to let go of guilt.  It sometimes gets the best of me.

I should spend more time with my children.  They will soon be grown and may be more interested in being with their friends than me.  I don’t want to regret times when cleaning the house or doing schoolwork got in the way of my time with them.

I can make a difference in the lives of my students.

I make a cup of coffee every morning.  On weekdays, it’s when I get home from the gym.  On weekends, it’s when I climb out of bed.

I always believe that honesty is the best policy.  I cannot lie-even the little white lies.  Because of this, I believe I am trusted.

  1. It’s amazing how a simple structure can allow a writer to say so much. I feel like I know you, or at least, would like to!
